Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Developer/Analyst with 10+ years of application development experience to support enterprise revenue and fare management applications.

The successful candidate will work within a Revenue Fare Management Systems environment, supporting back-office web application development, maintaining and enhancing legacy revenue applications, and contributing to the development and modernization of a new fare payment system.

The role will involve developing web applications and APIs using Python, Django, and FastAPI, along with AWS cloud services, containerization, Kubernetes, SQL/Oracle PL/SQL, and modern web technologies.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in solving complex technical problems, designing scalable applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting applications throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications and APIs.
  • Develop and implement custom application modules and APIs using Python.
  • Build and support real-time transaction systems for ticket validation and revenue-related applications.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
  • Build web application frontends for both internal business applications and external customer-facing applications.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing web interfaces.
  • Work with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX to develop and enhance web applications.
  • Develop Python web applications using frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.

  • Troubleshoot complex application, API, database, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
  • Participate in application release and deployment planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, cloud, QA, business, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, code reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide accurate level-of-effort estimates and technical recommendations for feature prioritization.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, development standards, API documentation, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide recommendations regarding application architecture and design.
  • Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing.
  • Ensure applications comply with applicable accessibility, usability, security, and technical standards.
  • Participate in user testing and evaluate applications against usability and user-experience standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of application development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional application development experience.
  • Strong experience developing web-based applications and APIs.
  • Advanced programming experience with Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Django and/or FastAPI.
