Job description

Description:

About the Role

Grandville Printing Company is looking for a Software Developer to join our small in-house development team. You'll be a strong C#/.NET developer with solid experience building APIs and integrating business systems.

GPC provides integrated software and data solutions that enhance the customer experience across the entire print lifecycle, from production operations to in-store support through our custom retail support portal.

We're modernizing how data flows across our internal systems and, increasingly, how we connect with customer platforms. You'll start by getting immersed in our data processing architecture — understanding what our systems do and how data moves through them. From there, you'll contribute across our development work: building and maintaining APIs, integrating systems, developing web and desktop applications, and creating internal tools. Your API and integration experience will be particularly valuable as we expand those capabilities.

What You'll Do

· Develop and maintain APIs, webhooks, and system integrations

· Work with data in various formats (JSON, XML, REST, and other protocols)

· Contribute to web applications, desktop applications, and internal tools

· Collaborate with a small, focused development team on both internal infrastructure and customer-facing solutions

· Participate in rotating after-hours support for production automations as needed

· Help establish practices and standards as we modernize our development approach

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

· Strong C# and .NET fundamentals (our primary stack)

· 2+ years of hands-on API development and systems integration experience

· Ideally 5+ years of total software development experience

· SQL proficiency (required)

· Comfortable working with JSON, XML, and REST APIs

· Experience integrating multiple applications or business systems

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex or incomplete data

· Team player who communicates well and takes ownership

Nice-to-Have

· Web application development experience

· Desktop or business application development experience

· Experience with event-driven architectures or message streaming (we use Kafka)

· Data transformation or ETL patterns

· SOAP or legacy API integration experience

· PHP (some existing applications use it)

· Linux and containerization experience (Docker)

The Environment

· Full-time, in-office in Grandville, MI (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)

· Work with a small in-house development team

· Flexible on degree vs. experience — we value proven skills
