Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): North Carolina, Arinzon, Texas and Florida

Software Engineer Consultant - Hogan

Position would report into the Information Technology Merger and Acquisition team responsible for customer and account conversions into bank systems and processes. This position is responsible for all phases of system conversion projects, from requirements definition to execution. Leads technical efforts in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex programs. Develops test plans, software, and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Serves as a technical expert and may provide a leadership role for less experienced associates in the work group.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • System Enhancement – Leads effort to analyze data files and formats to determine conversion approach.  Utilizes specifications to construct programs and reports.  Unit tests programs to ensure output meets the specifications.
  • Business Support - Provides technical support to systems by addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Develops technical solutions to unique system problems. Leads major projects, delegates tasks, and ensures quality results.
  • Technical Expert - Utilizes expertise to mentor and train associates within the work group. Participates in special projects and meetings as needed to convey critical technical insight. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units.
  • Business Strategy - Acts as a trusted advisor on strategies that align developmental projects with long-term business needs and technological direction for future conversions. Assists management in implementing initiatives or strategies across the division.

Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with Hogan IDS (DDA/TDA), CIS, RPM or other similar deposit or loan systems
  • Advanced experience with customer or account conversions
  • Advanced Experience with programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and EasyTrieve
  • Experience with ChangeMan or similar code repository system,
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems,
  • In depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
