Technology Development Program (Manufacturing) - Associate
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Fully Onsite)
Length: 3 month contract to hire
Pay rate: 25/hr. on W2 basis
***After completing the training program this person will need to be open to relocation across the United States (relocation would be covered/paid for).***
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technology Development Associate for a manufacturing client in Charlotte, NC. This position provides technical background training in wallboard science and testing fundamentals. The program allows for up to 15 months of training, after which the candidate will be expected to advance to other available positions within the company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all technical and lab services independently and in a timely manner.
  • Remain adaptive and responsive to changing priorities while providing timely and accurate results.
  • Assist in lab support, including moving and handling gypsum wallboard panels and other construction materials. This requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb items periodically.
  • Provide facility support as required to ensure the smooth flow of operations at the Technology and Innovation Center, which may include help with lab clean-up, phone coverage, and meeting preparation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in a STEM field or something similar (Materials Science, Earth & Environmental Science, etc.)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication, with an understanding of planning and work organization.
  • A hands-on mindset with a can-do attitude is necessary.
  • Ability to work consistently in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be open to relocation for future career advancement after the rotational program is complete in 9-15 months.
