We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to be responsible for initial consultation with the customer, as well as estimating and proposal development for industrial automation solutions including food & beverage, life sciences, and chemical industries. The projects span the range of process control and machine control automation applications. You will also own and develop methods, tools, and processes in estimating and proposal development for the entire enterprise.

You will:

  • Engage with customers to assess the technical scope and engineering requirements, while collaborating with local E Tech Group Business Development Managers throughout the sales pursuit process.
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Independently quote standard Control Panel, PLC, and HMI projects, seeking engineering assistance solely for specialized cases.
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and educational background
  • 5+ years of Industrial Automation experience directly related to design, controls, programming, and electrical engineering
  • Past experience of extensive use of Company Methods, Tools, and Process specific to estimating and proposal management standards.
  • Understanding of ERP / Project Costing Systems and parametric estimation tools.
  • Extensive understand of customer plans, specifications, technical documentation as well as RFQ documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
