Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking aย Peoplesoft developer with military personnel/pay experience.ย ย This role is aย Software Developer IIIย and will join theย software development team supportingย the execution ofย aย large size,ย multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP).The Software Developer (Developer) III will be an agile development team member, responsible for designing technical solutions and extending PeopleSoft application functionality to meet development teamย objectives. The Software Developer III should be comfortable working in an agile team environment, collaborating with team members to remove blockers and resolve problems, and sharing information within and across teams.ย ย 

Responsibilities

  • Follow technical design specifications.ย 
  • Extend PeopleSoft software functionality to meet design specifications usingย PeopleToolsย technology.ย 
  • Configure modules in PeopleSoft software to meet design specifications.ย 
  • Provide estimates for work assignments.ย 
  • Document software configurations in prescribed documentation tool(s).ย 
  • Conduct unit testing in line with defined quality engineering processes.ย 
  • Conduct software development activities in support of application enhancements and system defects.ย 
  • Conduct peer reviews on other teammates' configuration and code to ensure accuracy and alignment to overall architecture and design.ย 
  • Explain technical approach and code to team members.ย 
  • Demonstrate software functionality to end users.ย 
Qualifications

Education and Experience:ย Bachelor of Science degree in a Computer Software or Engineering major or 2 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a computer software-related fieldย required.ย 

Skills/Qualifications:ย PeopleSoftย PeopleToolsย and SQL knowledgeย required, as is experience with Military Pay.ย ย Strong communicationย skillsย required. Certifications in PeopleSoftย PeopleTools, andย SAFeย for Teams preferred.ย 

Clearance Requirements:ย This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.ย 

Work Location:ย Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia 2 days on-site with a hybridย option. Occasional travel may beย required.ย 

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 to $160,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
