What You'll Do:

The Senior Web Application Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that support IoMT workflows within enterprise could-based applications. This role works across the complete cloud stack-including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS-to build scalable, secure, and high performing applications. The position requires deep expertise in cloud architecture, APIs, integration frameworks, and modern development practices. The developer independently solves complex technical challenges, contributes to architectural decision making, and influences cross functional partners to drive optimized solutions within technical, regulatory, and business constraints.

Cloud Application Development & Architecture

  • Design, develop, test, and enhance cloud based web applications across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms.
  • Architect end-to-end cloud solutions using platforms such as AWS/EC2.
  • Ensure scalability, security, performance, and reliability in all cloud hosted application components.
  • Work with third-party PaaS vendors to implement secure and performant customer-facing web applications.

Systems Integration & API Engineering

  • Integrate cloud applications with internal systems and third party platforms using REST, MQTT, and other API standards.
  • Develop pre-scripting and post-scripting logic for automation, data flows, and event triggered processes.
  • Conduct integration testing and build automated test suites to validate system interoperability.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and build durable, fault tolerant service connections.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Technical Influence

  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and key stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and recommend technical approaches aligned with longterm platform strategy.
  • Influence peers and cross functional teams through subject matter expertise and thought leadership.
  • Provide technical insight into feasibility, effort estimation, and system constraints.

Quality, Security & Operational Excellence

  • Develop high quality, maintainable code following industry best practices, version control, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.
  • Implement cloud security configurations, identity and access management, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
  • Perform root cause analysis, diagnose complex performance issues, and implement corrective strategies.
  • Contribute to documentation, design specifications, and long-term maintainability of cloud solutions.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce technical debt, and enhance infrastructure resilience.
  • Develop prototypes or proof of concepts for new product features or platform enhancements.

How You'll Get There:

  • 8-12+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in cloud based application development.
  • Strong experience with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS architectures, including one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce).
  • Proficiency with cloud storage solutions such as Amazon S3, EBS, EFS or their equivalents.
  • Advanced knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular, Node.js, .NET, Python, or similar).
  • Skilled in API design, integration patterns, middleware, and automation scripting.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, DevOps tools, and cloud security practices.
  • Ability to solve highly complex problems, evaluate multiple technical paths, and influence solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • Master's degree is preferred due to the advanced technical environment.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce) strongly preferred.
  • This role works onsite M-W-F in Burlington MA, with hybrid option on Tuesday and Thursday
