Responsibilities & Qualifications
We are seeking a Senior Application Developer to join our team on ITSS supporting Department of Navy.
The Senior Application Developer is responsible for leading all software development efforts, overseeing the design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications across the NMOTC enterprise. This role supports web applications, databases, and integration with DoD systems in compliance with cybersecurity and data protection policies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT or 10+ years of relevant development experience.

    • GSEC
    • SSCP

Clearance
  • Active Secret (T5 Investigation)

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead development of web and enterprise applications to support NMOTC operations
  • Ensure compliance with DoD software standards and cybersecurity protocols
  • Create technical design documents, code, test plans, and deployment packages
  • Maintain and update legacy code bases; migrate to modern frameworks where needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and user stories
  • Perform software and system integration, testing, and sustainment
  • Support ATO packages and RMF documentation as required
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews
