THE ROLE:

Aravo's Application Engineer is a critical member of an Application R&D team, responsible for developing Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications as part of Aravo's Application Development Lifecycle.

Aravo provides an extremely powerful technology platform for the development of TPRM and GRC solutions; the Application Engineer will act as a critical member of an Aravo agile Application Engineering team to deliver broad-based, market-appropriate applications using the Aravo Platform as a development environment.

The Aravo Platform offers a set of Third Party/Vendor Management solutions that are designed to increase compliance and reduce risk across the enterprise. Today, Aravo applications cover areas such as Data Security & Privacy, GDPR Compliance, Third-Party/Vendor Registration, Qualification & Onboarding, Anti-Bribery / Anticorruption and Responsible Sourcing. This position uses the Aravo Platform set of development tools to deliver Aravo Applications.

Success as the Application Engineer requires experience with implementation of large scale, complex business software systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Salesforce, or Informatica. Business analytical skills, particularly concerning developing software-based solutions to complex business problems, are required, as are excellence in written and verbal communication and the willingness to step up and be held accountable for results.

You will be responsible for working closely with Application Product Management, Application Quality, and other Application Engineers on an Agile Application Engineering Team to deliver configured applications as specified by Product Management. You will be responsible for working closely with your team to drive Application delivery on time and to specification.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with hands-on contribution in the creation of processes and deliverables as well working closely with team members to collectively execute the product vision. The ability to intuit the needs and expectations of both internal and external audiences is also highly desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in technical design, integration, and configuration of highly customizable SaaS solutions
  • Contribute to the build and delivery of applications using Aravo's TPRM/GRC Platform technology
  • Work as a member of the team in the implementation of configuration user stories and documented technical specifications
  • Work closely with Product Managers to effectively translate and implement business requirements specified for particular applications
  • Work closely with QA to ensure quality delivery of applications according to Aravo's Quality Process and Application Software Development Lifecycle
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of a software delivery lifecycle, and more than one type of delivery methodology
  • Understanding of delivery challenges that are specific to a SaaS delivery environment
  • Experience designing and configuring complex, scalable SaaS solutions according business and technical requirements
  • Experience with testing and QA efforts of newly delivered applications
  • Basic knowledge of programming and web technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, etc..)
  • Experience implementing new features and improving existing features
  • Proven ability to leverage other team members to accomplish tasks
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing presentation skills
  • Aptitude for building client relationships
  • Team player that is motivated and takes the initiative to deliver
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working autonomously to desired outcomes of a project
  • On-site presence in one of our primary domestic offices (San Francisco, Dallas) with onsite presence required up to 80% Occasional travel
  • Eligible for employment in the US without the need for visa sponsorship
