The Deployment Specialist will be responsible for the tasks involved in building, delivering, and supporting non production and production systems for the Retire Benefits Systems integrated solution.

What you'll do
Server/Application Support:

  • Build shared and client specific environments both production, non-production and disaster recovery.

  • Perform server and application installations, configurations, and deployments.

  • Perform Configuration of IIS Server, creating websites, troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

  • Perform SQL Server related tasks such as database backup and restore, user permissions, scripts deployments.

  • Perform Servers and applications migrations and OS upgrades.

  • Perform Active Directory tasks such as user and group creation, delegation etc.

  • Develop Systems reports in SQL Report builder using scripting and automation.

  • Triage, analyze and coordinate issues related to applications hosted on shared or client's premises.

  • Ensuring there is a focus on stabilization, security, and performance.

  • Write/update technical documentation for existing or new procedures and maintain a service catalog.

  • Overtime / after-hours support may be required for urgent issues, production core releases on weekends and during busy seasons.

You have

  • 5 years of experience in IT with respective Computer Software or Computer Engineering University degree.

  • Windows Server 2012-2019 (installation, configuration, management & IIS Role).

  • Knowledge of Scripting (including analyzing and developing) (PowerShell, VBScript, CMD, SQL, etc.).

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple Assignments.

  • Experience with domain environments (Active Directory or LDAP).

  • Familiar with N-Tier Applications (utilizing IIS web frontend, .Net Services, SQL Server DB backend).

  • Familiar with networking (TCP/IP Protocol, DHCP, DNS, VPN).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of Other Cloud technologies such AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Knowledge of Dynamics CRM and GP is an asset but not required.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
