Job Summary

The EPIC Application Analyst II configures and provides intermediate help for specific applications to business and clinical users. They also work with end users to understand workflows and make necessary adjustments or enhancements. This role is the main communication point for users and coordinates activities for the IS organization.

Essential Functions of the Role
  • Assists with the test recommendations for corrective actions and resolution of problems within the software application.
  • Creates and executes test scripts for new system builds timely and effectively.
  • Provides testing and documentation of workflows, data collections, and end-user report details. Considers technical issues with applications, applying vendor and internal stakeholder input.
  • Creates, modifies and tracks system build timely and effectively.
  • Provides help for normal maintenance of upgrades and system maintenance.
  • Implements system updates and changes, and communicates those changes to super users and end users.
  • Provides ongoing application help and end user training for all helped applications.
  • Engages, manages, and communicates to all stakeholders.
  • Solves problems by studying business issues and requirements, studying workflows and synthesizing key messages.
  • Assists in coordinating training materials and schedules for all super users and end users. Serves as a liaison between end users, subject matter experts, and the vendor implementation team.

  • Has expertise in end user workflows and understands inputs and outputs from both end user and patient perspectives.
  • Ability and experience knowledge end user workflow and owning the technical components of that workflow.
  • Ability to work well in team environments and facilitate integrated meetings.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, workflow tools, and email software applications in an intermediate capacity.
  • Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence methods.
  • Self-motivated with ability to identify and resolve issues, and advance personal knowledge.
  • Ability to execute complex tasks through organization and details motivated approach.
  • Demonstrates excellent face-to-face communication skills, among facility customers and team members.
  • A motivated, quick learner of software and information technology.
  • Proficient in accurate, thorough and complete documentation.
  • Epic application knowledge to build, test, help and train.
