Work Status Details: Full Time | 80.00 Hours Every Two Weeks
Exempt from Overtime: Exempt
Shift Details: M-F 8-5 with weekend and nights as needed for projects and on-call
Department: Information Technology | Reports To: Manager-IT Clinical Informatics

Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Informatics, the Ancillary Application Analystcoordinates project resources and facilitates communication between the IT Department and clinical business owners. This role investigates, resolves, and escalates system support issues while working both independently and across organizational teams. The analyst designs workflows and implements technology solutions to optimize clinical operations, enhance patient care, and ensure seamless system interoperability. Primary support areas include ancillary clinical applications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaison & Communication: Serves as the primary liaison between the IT team and clinical departments to maintain positive, effective collaboration.
2. Workflow Optimization: Partners with clinical staff to recommend and implement technical solutions that resolve operational and procedural system issues.
3. Application Management: Oversees the implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of clinical applications to achieve optimum operational results. Systems to include Infinitt, Clinisys, Polysmith Sleep Lab, Masimo DCX, BD pharmacy products and Phillips monitoring systems.
4. Testing and Upgrades: Coordinates and participates in system upgrade testing in partnership with technical staff, clinical departments and software vendors.
5. Analytical Skills: Demonstrate ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and investigate reported issues.
6. Report Development: Designs, builds and validates clinical reports to meet the organizational needs of clinical departments and leadership. Completes Epic Cogito reporting certification within one year.
7. Operational Support: Monitors interface error work queues and collaborate with clinical leaders to resolve.
8. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
9. Must be able to sit and/or perform computer-oriented tasks for a protracted amount of time.
Job Requirements:
The requirements listed below must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION (Minimum Requirements for Position):
Associate Degree required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
EDUCATION FIELD OF STUDY (If Applicable):
Healthcare or Computer Science related field required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current, valid driver's license issued in the state of legal residence required.
Operate Faith Health owned vehicles required.
Previous Experience Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Required Preferred
Previous experience with HL7, LIS and/or RIS required.
Previous experience supporting clinical applications required.
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
SKILLS (If Applicable):
Language Skills - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
Analytical Skills required.
KNOWLEDGE (If Applicable):
Knowledge of clinical systems and how clinicians interact with software required.
Other Certifications/Requirements:
