Perform a variety of instructional duties assisting a licensed staff member in the implementation of a specific program for individual students or small groups.
GENERAL DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with students, parents and teachers.
  • Ability to follow general oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in task performance.
  • Meet or ability to meet the "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional requirements (*below for more info)
  • Pass a Criminal Background/fingerprint check ($75 fee)

START DATE: August 28, 2026 (New staff orientation)
WAGES: $17.49 - $19.21 dependent on experience and per the 2026/27 OSEA Salary Schedule

TILLAMOOK SCHOOL DISTRICT - HIGHLY QUALIFIED PARAPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Tillamook School District requires that all paraprofessionals be "Highly Qualified". There are 3 ways you can meet these requirements.
  1. Possess an associate's (or higher) degree, or
  2. Complete two years of study at an institute of higher education with a minimum of 72 quarter college credits or 48 semester college credits, or
  3. Pass a local assessment test demonstrating basic knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics skills. (Accuplacer)
