Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Tech with HVAC-Appliance experience to join our team. In this role, you will provide maintenance duties as part of the condominium operations, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and select household or commercial appliances. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing quality service and professional customer support.Job Summary:Responsible for the proper functioning of all units, as well as all common areas. Responsible for implementing a preventative maintenance program to reduce required emergency repairs. Receives direction from management to maintain standards at the Landmark. Must have excellent customer service skills. Duties to include minor electrical, mechanical and plumbing repair.  Responsible for pinpointing problem areas, determining extent of repair effort and conveying to management the extent of repair needs. Responsible for replacing such items as light bulbs and air filters. Other duties as deemed necessary by management.Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Diagnose issues with appliances and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance to help ensure reliable equipment performance.
  • Install replacement parts, components, and equipment as needed.
  • Test system functionality after repairs to confirm safe and proper operation.
  • Document service calls, work performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Communicate clearly with customers or internal teams regarding findings, options, and timelines.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and applicable codes or regulations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working condition.
  • Assist with other duties and functions of the property options assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Experience in HVAC service, appliance repair, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration principles, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to diagnose problems accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage service priorities.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform hands-on repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, if required for service travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification or vocational training in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair.
  • EPA certification or other relevant industry credentials.
  • Experience with both residential and light commercial equipment.
  • Familiarity with common diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
