Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: GENERAL MAINTENANCE MAKES GENERAL REPAIRS TO INTERIOR/EXTERIOR OF BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES SUCH AS BRIDGE HOUSES, WALKWAYS, AND OTHER RELATED STRUCTURES, FURNITURE, FIXTURES, AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING SYSTEMS, ETC. GENERAL REPAIRS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, PAINTING, PLUMBING, CAREPENTRY, ELECTRICAL REPAIR, AND BUILD FORMS AND POURS MINOR CONCRETE SLABS. PERFORMS MINOR REPAIRS TO SEWERAGE TREATMENT PLANTS ON BRIDGES.

PERFORMS ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TASKS ON HVAC SYSTEMS SUCH AS CHANGING FILTERS, CLEANING DRAIN LINES AND GENERAL CLEANING. PERFORMS SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE ON ALL ASSIGNED EQUIPMENT MAKING MINOR REPAIRS WHEN NECESSARY. MAKES REPAIRS TO APPLIANCES; REPLACES PARTS AND MAKES NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.

Position Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional Career Progression: This position may be filled as Trades Apprentice, Maintenance Repair 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Work Hours may vary Compensation: Trades Apprentice $16.06 hourly Maintenance Repairer 1 $17.18 hourly Maintenance Repairer 2 $19.67 hourly A valid Louisiana Class "D" Chauffeur's License is required before appointment.
