We are the Partner Experience organization in Prime Video, responsible for building systems and experiences that enable best in class content management, monetization and analytics for tens of thousands of Prime Video's 3p partners (Hollywood Studios, Media Houses, Post production houses, content creators). Why it matters: Prime Video is at an inflection point in its journey today as we make a shift from being a prime subscriber benefit to world's premiere entertainment destination. Our partnership with 3p content creators (aka 3p partners) is paramount in achieving this. In this role, you will be a pioneer in applying ML techniques to world of Entertainment. Your ability to innovate by making use of game changing Generative AI capabilities will materially impact the experience and efficiency of our 3p partners and customers around the world who rely on Prime Video for their streaming needs. This is a high impact, high visibility role where you will work directly with Senior Technology and Science leaders to build and lead programs for customer impacting products. You are responsible to invent using the right frameworks and technologies while keeping the architecture simple to maintain and sustain longer term with high resilience. You'll be part of a fast paced, and fun team.
Key job responsibilities
-Architect a configurable content platform that unifies content ingestion pathways (APIs, form-based, and file-based delivery) across multiple engineering teams, replacing brittle hard-coded pipelines with a toggle-driven framework
-Design unified content hosting systems spanning pre-ingestion through catalog publication, ensuring seamless handoffs across partner types and delivery mechanisms
-Build a common error validation framework that consolidates quality checks for metadata, artwork, media, assets, and avails into a single source - eliminating duplicated logic across teams
-Drive cross-team technical coherence across Prime video teams, ensuring 100s of engineers are building on a consistent architectural foundation
-Design for extensibility - ensure platform foundations support 2027 capabilities including AI-powered creative workflows, autonomous defect resolution, same-day onboarding automation, and post-house integration points (AI dubbing, automated subtitles, predictive ROI)
-Lead system design and architecture reviews, establishing patterns and standards that scale across the organization
-Mentor and influence engineers across multiple teams, raising the technical bar through design guidance, code reviews, and architectural documentation
-Partner with product and program managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with clear milestones and delivery commitments
-Identify and resolve cross-team technical dependencies proactively, preventing integration debt before it compounds
About the team
We are the Partner Experience organization, responsible for building systems and experiences that enable best in class content management, monetization and analytics capabilities for tens of thousands of Prime Video's 3p partners (Hollywood Studios, Media Houses, Post Production Houses and Content Creators).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers, or experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead
- Experience with variety of digital media workflows
- Experience working with REST API based services, or experience in any Bigdata architecture and experience in Postgres
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
- Experience delivering against a large organization's long-term strategy and goals
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
