Job description

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming outstanding products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. We believe that if you bring passion and dedication to your job, there's no telling what you could accomplish.
In this leadership role you will set the vision, strategy, and execution bar for a world-class team responsible for Apple's core AI technologies and experiences - including Apple Intelligence, Siri, and the developer and researcher platforms that sit beneath them. This is a role for a rare leader: someone equally fluent in deep technical AI concepts and in the art of compelling product storytelling; someone who can move from engineering roadmap reviews to boardroom narratives without losing a step.
At Apple, Product Management and Product Marketing responsibilities are unified into a single cross-functional Product Management role. You will collaborate intimately with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales, and support - operating with authority, judgment, and the seniority to make decisions that shape Apple's AI strategy at the highest level.
Description
You will own the strategy, definition, and launch of Apple's core AI technologies, models, and experiences across our entire ecosystem. Your scope extends beyond any single product or feature - you are accountable for the coherent AI narrative that runs through Apple's operating systems, devices, developer tools, and services.
You will shape how Apple approaches AI at a platform level, making strategic bets on what to build, what to prioritize, and how to tell the story to the world. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and the kind of elegant, human-centered experiences Apple is known for.
Strategic Leadership
- Define and own the multi-year product strategy for AIML Technologies, translating Apple's AI research and capabilities into a coherent product and platform vision.
- Serve as the strategic editor for your organization - bringing sharp focus to what matters most for users, developers, and the business amidst a vast landscape of possibilities.
- Partner with Apple's most senior executives to align on AI priorities, advocate for resources, and navigate trade-offs across the technology stack.
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including positioning, pricing, and launch plans for AI-powered features and developer platforms.
- Analyze market data, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to inform and continuously sharpen strategic decision-making.
Product Management & Development
- Lead your team in crafting product management requirements, product briefs, and go-to-market strategies for AI technologies, models, and features - from early concept through global launch.
- Collaborate deeply with engineering, research, and design to investigate new concepts and champion product experiences that reflect both technical excellence and deep user empathy.
- Drive structured analysis of complex trade-offs, balancing technical feasibility, business impact, and user value across competing priorities.
- Champion developer and researcher experiences, ensuring Apple's AI platforms are the most powerful and elegant tools available to the external community.
Marketing, Communications & Influence
- Craft master product messaging briefs and guide marketing communications on launch materials, keynote narratives, and press strategy for Apple's most consequential AI launches.
- Act as Apple's senior product spokesperson for AIML - delivering press briefings, presenting at public events, and representing Apple with analysts, media, and industry specialists worldwide.
- Synthesize complex AI technology into compelling, accessible narratives for audiences ranging from developers and researchers to mainstream consumers and global media.
- Drive exceptional storytelling through best-in-class written, visual, and verbal communication that upholds Apple's standard for craft and clarity.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing organization of product managers and marketers, fostering a culture of innovation, intellectual rigor, collaboration, and accountability.
- Recruit exceptional talent, invest deeply in their growth, and create an environment where people do the best work of their careers.
- Model a standard of excellence, customer focus, and creative and critical thinking that elevates everyone around you.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to develop a comprehensive strategy and translate it into actionable plans with measurable, business-level results.
Structured thinker with a strong analytics background; comfortable with data and rigorous in drawing insights from it.
Proven customer focus and genuine curiosity - you seek out the voice of the customer and let it shape your decisions.
Experience positioning and launching consumer software products at a global scale.
Track record of managing and growing strategic external partnerships.
Flexibility to move fluidly between highly technical engineering conversations and high-level business strategy - and to credibly own both.
Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills; capable of producing and reviewing materials that hold up to Apple's highest creative standards.
Business acumen to make and defend hard prioritization calls in service of the overall business.
A deep appreciation for Apple's values and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional products and experiences to our customers.
Self-starter mentality with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to execute at pace without sacrificing quality.
Willingness to travel as needed.
A sense of humor and the ability to handle ambiguity with grace.
Bachelor's degree required; MS/MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing, including leading teams through multiple full-cycle AI-focused product launches from concept to global availability.
Proven executive-level leadership with a track record of building and scaling high-performing, cross-functional product organizations.
Deep expertise in AI, machine learning, large language models, and the developer and researcher ecosystems that surround them.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional partners through strategic thinking, sound judgment, and compelling communication.
Experience as a product spokesperson at a national or global level, including press briefings, keynote appearances, and analyst engagement.
