Apple Montessori Schools - Warrington, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 6:30pm

• Cleaning and maintaining all common areas in the building, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc.

Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Mix all chemicals and/or cleaners in a safe, appropriate manner.
2. Store all chemicals, cleaners and supplies in a safe, appropriate manner - all chemicals/cleaners out of reach of children and all extra supplies of chemicals/cleaners must be in a child safety latched cabinet.
3. Maintain binder of all MSDS sheets for all chemicals/cleaners used at the specific school location.
4. Notify Secretary or Director of any needed supplies or low quantity of supplies for next order.
5. Clean and maintain picnic tables on the playground.
6. Assist classroom staff in the operation of the sanitizer machines - drop off and retrieve cart(s) to the classroom based on established schedule and operate sanitizer machine.
7. Maintain all supplies in good working order - notify Secretary or Director of any replacement items needed.
8. Notify Secretary or Director of any broken or damaged items/areas throughout the building.
9. Uphold a pleasant and courteous demeanor with all staff, students, parents and visitors.
10. Maintains confidential child, parent and/or school information in accordance to company policies.
11. Performs all such related and non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

REPORTS TO:Director/Assistant Director

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
2. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certified.
3. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.
4. Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to multi-task in a school setting.

WORKING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. School based, requires full range of body motion including; bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing through the required hour work day.
2. Ability to lift, push and/or pull required workload, up to 30lbs.
3. Must wear Apple Montessori logo T-Shirt, long pants and work shoes.
4. May require working under stressful conditions, and requires flexibility in response to staffing needs. Must be regularly available and willing to work at least required hours per day and overtime/weekends as requested.
5. Perform duties onsite unless otherwise indicated and approved.
