Job description

The Xcode team is responsible for the core development environment used by millions of Apple developers worldwide. From powerful code editing and intelligent experiences to seamless UI design and integrated debugging, Xcode provides the foundation for building exceptional apps across all Apple platforms. As an Xcode EPM, you'll help craft developer experiences from the ground up, shaping the tools and workflows that bring ideas to life. We are looking for a seasoned project/program manager to independently lead and deliver key initiatives for Xcode. The ideal candidate brings expert-level interpersonal and executive communication skills, strong organizational discipline, and an understanding of the software development lifecycle. You'll be a vocal advocate who builds strong relationships, thinks critically about our methods, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo to drive better outcomes.
Description
As an EPM, your responsibilities include:
*Partnering with engineering and product to define and deliver project roadmaps, schedules, and milestones
*Authoritatively presenting project status to multi-functional teams as well as executive management
*Offering cross-functional management for Xcode, interacting with cross-functional teams to deliver on projects
*Working independently and proactively to positively influence others teams to drive project outcomes
*Operating internal tools and bug tracking software to make quantitative assessments on project progress and update plans as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Comfort working directly with engineers, including understanding technical trade-offs and asking informed questions during design and delivery
Experience integrating AI-powered experiences with an understanding of basic model concepts such as inference, evaluation, versioning, and performance trade-offs
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience independently owning and delivering complex software or infrastructure programs end-to-end
Strong technical intuition and understanding of basic engineering concepts with strengths in distilling complex design and process problems to their essential components
Expert communicator capable of influencing without authority and driving alignment in high-ambiguity, debate-driven environments
Demonstrated executive presence, including the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior leadership, articulate trade-offs, and drive informed decision-making
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with software engineering and project management
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
