What will you be doing:
The Senior Apple Engineer is responsible for the lifecycle management, development, testing, and enterprise management of the Apple enterprise administrative and clinical devices. Other responsibilities are development, testing and maintenance of the kiosk and administrative OS images, software packaging. Include the design, maintenance, and operation of the systems that support infrastructure management and integration, Apple and iOS MDM, remote management tools, software delivery and enterprise scale OS servicing (both operating system and application software), the development of standards for workstations (hardware, operating system, and core applications), and development of deployment and troubleshooting standards.
  • Creates and tests yearly OS configurations for Apple and administrative clinical devices and prepares them for distribution.
  • Provide third level support for helpdesk, tier 1, and tier 2 primarily for administrative and clinical kiosks.
  • Administer, maintain systems responsible for system security compliance and lifecycle management.
  • Prepares and tests software packages for remote distribution for clinical devices, kiosks and administrative systems.
  • Administers systems associated with Integration - Imprivata, Epic and Printing etc.
  • Administers and monitors remote software delivery processes, and assists EIS deployment staff.
  • Administers desktop administration tools for enterprise desktop management such as MDM's (Airwatch, JAMF Pro) and SCCM.
  • Assesses and design configurations for computers and peripheral configuration for integration into health system applications.
  • Creates system documentation and procedures for operating system configuration, client application installation, remote deployment, imaging, peripheral setup, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring and/or mentoring the work of phone support, tier 1 and tier 2.
  • Functions as a technical resource to other EIS staff as well as other departmental application and system managers.
  • Provides after-hours support via the Help Desk as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Familiar with, complies with, and implements enterprise policies for security and confidentiality.
  • May participate in multidisciplinary requirements definition and vendor selection teams.

Hybrid Remote = must currently live in Los Angeles area or willing to relocate to LA area for onsite requirements
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Seven (7) plus years of experience with iOS, desktop computers and Apple/Windows operating systems.
Five (5) plus years of remote software distribution (including package creation and deployment), push technology for software patches, remote control, and remote administration of workstations.
Enterprise level device management, 18k + total devices preferred.
Solid grasp of hardware and software to include: assembly and testing of workstations and peripherals, installation and configuration of backup software, antivirus software, network operating systems, file servers, print servers, web servers, browsers, database servers, and client software.
Solid grasp with network environment to include: name resolution, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
Proficient with mainstream automation, project management, project leadership, presentation, and communications tools.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
