Job Title: Screen Printer

Job Overview: A Screen Printer operates screen-printing machines to create high-quality printed designs on various surfaces, such as vinyl textiles, signs, banners, and promotional items. This role requires technical expertise in setting up, operating, and maintaining screen printing equipment and a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate and visually appealing prints.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Setup and Preparation:

· Prepare screens by applying emulsion and exposing them to create stencils for printing.

· Mix and prepare inks to achieve desired colors and consistency.

· Set up printing machines, ensuring accurate alignment and registration of screens.

2. Printing Operations:

· Load substrates onto the printing machine.

· Operate screen printing machines, ensuring consistent quality and color accuracy throughout the printing process.

· Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve proper ink coverage, registration, and print clarity.

· Monitor the printing process to identify and address issues, such as misprints or color inconsistencies.

3. Color Mixing and Matching:

· Mix and adjust ink colors to match desired specifications or customer-provided samples.

· Maintain an organized inventory of ink colors and formulas for future use.

4. Quality Control:

· Inspect printed products for defects, such as smudges, blurs, or misalignments.

· Make necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality prints and meet customer expectations.

5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

· Perform routine maintenance on screen printing equipment to ensure proper functioning.
