Description

Messer Construction Co. is a construction manager and general contractor that provides leadership for complex commercial building projects. Founded in 1932, Messer’s footprint has grown to eleven regional offices located across the Midwest and Southeast: Greenville, South Carolina; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton Ohio; Louisville and Lexington Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Knoxville & Nashville, Tennessee. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within schedule 
  • Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions 
  • Building Layout & Elevations 
  • Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills and perform layout 
  • Installation of doors; drill and set door hardware 
  • Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns 
  • Pump, place and finish techniques 
  • Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks 
  • Crane signals and rigging 

What You Will Bring: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • OSHA 30 Hour Preferred 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in all phases of commercial construction 
  • Candidates must have transportation Good communication skills 
  • Be willing to work within a 50 mile radius 
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
