Job description

Job Title: Software Test Analyst 5

Location: Lansing, MI

Duration: 12 Months

The resource will act in a tester and analyst role for various in-flight projects. The resource will work in an agile environment to write and execute use cases, test plans and develop testing scripts for custom .NET web applications.



Must have senior level (5+ years) experience and proficiency in the following:

  • Designing and executing manual and automated test cases.
  • Understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes (Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, Data Conversion).
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
  • Java and JavaScript
  • Issue tracking and defect management.
  • Generating and documenting test plans and strategies.
  • Generating testing reports and metrics.
  • API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client and others.
  • Writing SQL, P-SQL queries.
  • Generating and acquiring test data.
  • Ability to work in person in downtown Lansing 2 days a week.
  • Build environments {DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD} specific test suites with integrated application life cycle management.



Nice to Have:

  • Experience with industry standard automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Provar, Katalon, etc.).
  • Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module.
  • Experience with Mobile App testing of iOS and Android applications.
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience with ADA Compliance testing tools, such as AccVerify, JAWS, etc.
