Employment Type: Contract
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced APIGEE Developer to join our team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Verizon or in a telecom environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of API management, security, and microservices architecture.
This role requires hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs using the APIGEE platform, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure API solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable and secure API proxies using APIGEE Edge or APIGEE X
  • Implement API policies for security, transformation, mediation, and traffic management
  • Integrate APIs with backend systems including RESTful and SOAP services
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to define API contracts and standards
  • Manage API lifecycle from development to retirement
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance and availability
  • Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Key-based security mechanisms
  • Provide production support and manage API analytics and logging
  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning and code reviews
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience with APIGEE (Edge or X) in a professional setting
