Job description

INNOVIM is seeking a Business Intelligence Automation Specialist supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

Description of Duties:
This role focuses on leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform to automate operational workflows, integrate diverse data sources, and develop comprehensive business intelligence dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in data visualization and workflow automation within the Microsoft and Cloud eco-system to support data-driven decision-making in a secure environment.

The Business Intelligence Automation Specialist will:

  • Streamline reporting processes by creating automated workflows that publish reports to various dashboards, ensuring stakeholders receive timely and accurate business intelligence.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain robust automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline enterprise processes and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Architect and manage interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, translating complex data into actionable business intelligence for stakeholders.
  • Establish secure data connections and implement API integrations to ensure seamless data flow between SharePoint Online, external databases, and reporting tools.
  • Query and manipulate structured and unstructured data using SQL, and parse various data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) to prepare datasets for visualization and analysis.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with data visualization and BI tools
  • Have experience with report development and dashboard creation
  • Have an understanding of data formats (Excel, CSV, JSON, XML)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and data querying
  • Have knowledge of data connections and API integrations
  • Demonstrate experience creating and managing automated workflows
  • Be able to work assigned tasks not directly covered in any of the above statements

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 12, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience, which may be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 6, or more, years of directly related experience
  • Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)
  • Must have experience with Power BI, including report creation and dashboard management
  • Must have knowledge of data connections and API integrations
  • Must be familiar with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Must have an understanding of data formats (Excel, CSV, JSON, XML)
  • Must have basic knowledge of SQL and data querying
  • Must have demonstrated experience creating and managing automated workflows
  • Must have experience with report development and dashboard creation
  • Must have work experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Have Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Have experience with additional BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Have knowledge of Azure services and cloud-based data solutions
  • Have experience with Python, R, or other data analysis programming languages
  • Have Project management experience
  • Have a professional background in business analysis or data science

This position is expected to pay $145,000 โ€“ $165,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
