API 510/570 Inspector – Lima, OHFull-Time | Local Candidates Only

We are currently seeking experienced API 510/570 Inspectors for full-time work in Lima, OH. Candidates must be local to the Lima, OH area, as no relocation assistance is available for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing inspections in refinery, petrochemical, industrial, or power generation environments and possess strong knowledge of applicable API codes and inspection practices.

Position Summary

The API Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections on pressure vessels, piping systems, and storage tanks in accordance with API standards, customer specifications, and company procedures. Candidates must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in industrial environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections in accordance with API 510, API 570, and/or API 653 standards
  • Inspect pressure vessels, piping systems, and aboveground storage tanks
  • Review inspection histories, corrosion data, and maintenance records
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repair or replacement actions
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and certification records
  • Communicate findings effectively with clients and project teams
Qualifications
  • Current API 510/570 certification required
  • Previous industrial inspection experience required
  • Strong understanding of refinery, petrochemical, or industrial inspection practices
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage inspection activities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT) are a plus
  • Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) programs preferred
