    We are seeking aĀ Sr. Director,Ā TechnicalĀ ProgramĀ ManagementĀ to join ourĀ APEXĀ Strategic ProgramsĀ organization.Ā In this role, you willĀ leadĀ a teamĀ delivering StrategicĀ InnovationsĀ for the Product and Technology organization,Ā together withĀ otherĀ strategic business programsĀ that are focused on ensuring we deliver onĀ ServiceNow's most criticalĀ priorities.Ā Ā 

    The successful candidateĀ willĀ operateĀ as an AI-native leader, using AI tools to accelerate program delivery, synthesize intelligence across workstreams and modelĀ the ways of working we expect to scale across APEX.Ā Ā In addition,Ā the candidateĀ is a self-starter withĀ extensiveĀ competenceĀ and experienceĀ in theĀ technicalĀ ProgramĀ Management space. This candidate thinksĀ strategically,Ā butĀ loves getting intoĀ the detailĀ andĀ possessesĀ a strong ability to conceptualize, develop, drive,Ā coordinateĀ and manage a large programĀ inĀ addition to managing aĀ delivery team. This person is effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others;Ā they must also be highlyĀ experiencedĀ working with senior executives across various geographies and functions.Ā Ā 

    Strategic Program ManagementĀ Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Lead theĀ deliveryĀ ofĀ complex programs that that drive growth and operational excellence forĀ APEXĀ portfolio, in partnership with stakeholders at all levelsĀ 

  • Responsible for the APEXĀ Strategic InitiativeĀ function:Ā Ā identifies,Ā prioritizes, and accelerates goal-orientedĀ productĀ developmentĀ projectsĀ with measurable impact on revenue, market position, and competitive advantage -Ā operatingĀ with speed and focus to deliver innovation at scale.Ā 

  • Ensure programs are designed to deliver specific strategic outcomes - with metrics, milestones, and program structure to ensure successful executionĀ 

  • Develop trusted relationships with key customers, technology, functionalĀ leadersĀ and stakeholders to drive focus on the strategic programĀ objectivesĀ andĀ optimizeĀ program delivery. This includesĀ establishingĀ regular cadencesand holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the program.Ā 

  • Establish governance frameworks and communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed and engagedĀ 

  • Clearly communicateĀ objectives, status, risks, and results to all stakeholders while collaborating with workstreams to resolve blockersĀ 

  • Ensure that each program aligns with the broader businessĀ objectivesĀ and contributes to the overall success of the organizationĀ Ā 

  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks to meet program objectivesĀ Ā 

  • Collaborate withĀ cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Sales,Ā Finance, Marketing etc.) toĀ identifyĀ opportunities, unlock productivity,Ā and accelerate executionĀ 

  • LeadĀ consensus-building across teamsĀ and ensureĀ surgical execution andĀ handoffs to relevant stakeholdersĀ 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 12+Ā yearsĀ of work experience, preferably inĀ OperationsĀ / ProgramĀ Management,Ā ProductĀ Management,Ā Management Consulting, or Strategy rolesĀ 

  • High energy, disciplined execution skills, and willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver resultsĀ 

  • Work independently and be highly productive with minimalĀ oversightĀ 

  • Ability to see the big picture while also beingĀ execution-orientedĀ toĀ improve operational excellenceĀ 

  • Effective communicatorĀ (both verbally and in writing)Ā who uses AI tools to draft, refine, and tailor communications - able to convey complex ideas clearly across executive and working-level audiences at speedĀ 

  • Experience in building trusting relationships and influencing othersĀ 

  • Champion AI-native ways of working across the APEX Strategic Programs team - evaluating, adopting, and scaling AI tools that increase team throughput, reduce coordination overhead, and surface insights faster across complex program portfoliosĀ 

  • Team player and self-starter who uses AI to stay ahead of complexity - comfortable directing AI agents, iterating on outputs, andĀ operatingĀ with speed in ambiguous, high-stakes environmentsĀ 

  • ExpertiseĀ in the enterprise software/ SaaS industryĀ 

  • Education: Bachelor's DegreeĀ required; MBA or other Graduate degree preferredĀ

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $254,500 - $445,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
