Job description

The Project Manager (PM) is to plan, execute, and finalize projects in accordance with strict deadlines and within budgetary guidelines. The PM must coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors and/or consultants to simultaneously deliver multiple projects according to plan. They will also define each project’s objectives and oversee quality control and safety throughout its life cycle. The PM exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Always represents the company in a professional and courteous manner. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations in a consistent, timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:


•    Plans, schedules, and regularly updates project timelines and milestones using appropriate specified tools.

•    Develop Project Schedule
•    Contract Review & Implementation
•    Submittal preparation & tracking
•    Prepare safety submittals and ensure jobsite safety
•    Subcontractor solicitation & management (subcontracts and purchase orders)
•    Attend Progress Meetings
•    Pay Estimates & Change Orders
•    Coordinate job progress and success with project superintendent
•    Manage job costs, production reporting, forecasting, and AP Invoice Approval
•    Coordinate vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
•    Monitor project deliverables
•    Update team members on the project progress
•    Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications/Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in preferably construction management or civil engineering with 2 years construction management experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience with working as a subcontractor for earthwork, sewer/water, site utility projects
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety & OSHA standards.
  • Working knowledge of applicable sub trades.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings and relevant contract documents.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management, multi-task prioritization and organizational skills
  • Proactive, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, HCSS, Sage, Bluebeam
  • A valid driver’s license may be required
