Job description

Objective of the position

The responsibilities of an AP Mechanic are to assist in the repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of airframes, engine systems, parts, and components.

The AP Mechanic will provide world class service and support for customers.

Duties/Responsibilities but not limited to

  • Perform mainly disassembly of turbine engines to piece part level per manufacturer guidelines, maintenance, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft components.
  • Disassemble aircraft engine modules/parts level
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
  • Communicate with manager and lead mechanic regarding work assignments.
  • Perform in compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Operate support equipment that is used in removal and installations of major aircraft components.
  • Keep work area clean and safe.
  • Use, maintain and store companyprovided tools and equipment in safe and proper manner.
  • Skills
  • Must be detail oriented able to adjust parts and use equipment to meet exact specifications.
  • Able to use precision tools and equipment, to assemble/disassemble modules or parts.
  • Able to use computers and computerized equipment to adjust and repairs.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Qualifications:
  • A&P License preferred but not required
  • Must have own tool set
  • Can work under high time pressure and keep high work quality under minimum supervision.
  • Wellorganized, selfmotivated, strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
  • Must be willing to undergo a drug test and background check.
  • Work overtime and shift work as business needs require.
