Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in the field. Leadership skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed for the position. Individuals must attend necessary coaching clinics and comply with the rules of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
• Maintain a constant check on students' grades and conduct
• Recruit within the school, train, and coach the team
• Coordinate the development and promotion of the softball program
• Organize and schedule practices
• Communicate with the Athletic Director and Principal
• Maintain and secure all equipment
• Turn in all paperwork required by NCHSAA and the Athletic Director
• Complete all required courses of the NCHSAA
• Hold a parent meeting before the season
• Represent Anson County Schools in a professional manner
JOB GOALS:
• To provide leadership in helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem while instructing student participants in Softball.
