The Sr. Ignatia Gavin, CSA, Center for Addiction Medicine (SIGCAM) is recruiting for a full-time Executive Director. In this role, you will have an incredible opportunity to make an impact in the community, to advance the Mission of the Sisters of Charity Health System and work in a faith-based organization. Opening Fall of 2026, the SIGCAM is a fully integrated addiction medicine center – combining evidence-based clinical excellence*, behavioral health, spiritual support, workforce training and community leadership. *Clinical treatment services are provided through Rosary Hall, a fellow ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System dedicated to compassionate outpatient addiction treatment and support.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director provides mission‑driven executive leadership for the Sr. Ignatia Gavin, CSA, Center for Addiction Medicine, advancing the Catholic healing mission and values of the Sisters of Charity Health System, the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine and Alcoholics Anonymous. Reporting to the President and CEO and working in partnership with the Board, the Executive Director is accountable for strategic direction, clinical and operational excellence, financial stewardship, quality and compliance, and long‑term sustainability of the ministry.
MISSION AND VALUES LEADERSHIP
The Executive Director leads with reverence for the dignity of every person, integrating SCHS values, Catholic
social teachings of the Catholic Church, mission, compassion, justice, integrity, excellence, and stewardship—across all aspects of care delivery, culture, and community engagement. The role champions equitable, trauma‑informed, and client‑centered addiction treatment, with a particular commitment to individuals and communities experiencing vulnerability and stigma.
ROSARY HALL OUTPATIENT PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
The Executive Director is responsible for oversight of Rosary Hall Outpatient Services, ensuring planning, development, and management of all business functions including, but not limited to, analytical processes, systems monitoring for service line operations, workload, demand, capacity, and productivity of clinics and staff.
STRATEGIC AND CLINICAL LEADERSHIP
As the senior executive, the Executive Director sets organizational vision and strategy; oversees the development, growth, and evaluation of evidence‑based addiction services and educational programming across the continuum of care; and ensures measurable clinical, educational and staff development outcomes and continuous improvement. The role maintains active awareness of emerging trends in addiction medicine, identification in intervention and treatment, and Alcoholics Anonymous to guide integration, innovation and programmatic and educational excellence.
OUTPATIENT PHARMACY MANAGEMENT
The Executive Director is responsible for the evaluation, support and operations of the outpatient pharmacy. Working with the Clinical Manager of Pharmacy, this includes overseeing budget and resource allocation for pharmacy operations; ensuring compliance with JCAHO, FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and other federal and state regulations.
QUALITY, COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT
The Executive Director ensures full compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including SAMHSA, Joint Commission, DEA, Ohio MHAS, and ADAMHS standards. The role respects the spiritual principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and/or other twelve step programs. The role establishes and monitors performance metrics related to quality, safety, documentation, productivity, and outcomes, and leads corrective action and risk mitigation efforts. The quality indicators are reported to the System quality committee.
FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL STEWARDSHIP
The Executive Director exercises faithful stewardship of financial and organizational resources through budget development, resource optimization, and performance management, ensuring fiscal sustainability while supporting mission growth.
TALENT, CULTURE AND GOVERNANCE PARTNERSHIP
The Executive Director builds a high‑performing, value-aligned workforce through effective talent management, professional development, accountability, and servant leadership. The role partners with the Board and President/CEO through transparent communication, shared governance, and strategic accountability.
EXTERNAL RELATIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY
Serving as the public face of SIGCAM, the Executive Director cultivates strategic partnerships with AA, NA and Al-Anon and advances advocacy, and leads fundraising strategies to support long‑term ministry sustainability and expanded access to addiction care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, behavioral health, or a related field required
  • Minimum of seven to ten years of progressive leadership experience in addiction medicine, especially Alcoholics Anonymous, behavioral health, or integrated care settings
  • Demonstrated business and operational expertise, including budget oversight, workflow management, and program performance
  • Proven track record of leading clinical programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting organizational growth
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective people management skills, including staff development and employee relations
  • Licensure in a health or human services discipline preferred (may be required depending on role scope)
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000
