Position Summary

An experienced RN Managing Director will partner with the Governing Board to oversee operations at the Ankeny Medical Park Surgery Center, ensuring high quality, convenient and cost‑effective patient care. The role includes financial reporting, accounting operations, clinical leadership, and administrative oversight to maintain compliance at the professional level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the facility by supporting clinical care, staffing plans, and patient services.
  • Lead, manage, and support staff to foster a positive, ethical work climate.
  • Understand the organization’s financial position and provide meaningful quarterly financial and operating reports to the Governing Board.
  • Serve as the operational liaison with physicians and board members; develop and implement annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Oversee administrative services—including budgeting, credentialing, accounting, purchasing, insurance, employment, and marketing—to ensure efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Quality Improvement Committee to assure high quality medical care and implement solutions to identified problems.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with preferred experience in the operating room.
  • Medical management experience in a similar role or surgery center setting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, accounting functions, and verbal/written instruction compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, typing, and computer skills.
  • Adaptability to adjust schedules to maintain department operations.
  • Ability to work on feet and in an office for a minimum of 8‑10 hours as needed.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.
