Job description

Compensation and Benefits:ย 

  • Compensation: Hourly wage, adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

Terrain Park Attendants work under Terrain Park Foreman, Terrain Park Supervisor, and Terrain Park Manager. This physical, outdoor position works in a utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another, monitoring and maintaining terrain features in the terrain parks and other locations as established by the Supervisor. Attendants act as a host regarding crowd supervision, safety awareness and education, freestyle terrain etiquette and guest relations. Terrain Park Attendants are expected to act as a responsible and mature brand and company ambassador in and out of uniform.ย 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:ย 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:ย 

  • Opening and closing various terrain parks each day as directed by Terrain Park Foreman and/or Supervisor
  • Daily maintenance of all features in various terrain parks (raking, shoveling, and painting takeoffs)
  • Install and maintain park signage, closures, hazard markings, fencing, rope lines, flags, banners, and other branding/animation
  • Daily set up and tear down of branding elements
  • Assist snowcat operators with installation of terrain park features during day and/or night builds
  • Maintain a consistent presence in various terrain parks throughout the day in all weather and snow conditions
  • Assist with events, contests, photo/video shoots, etc. as directed by Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Remain flexible and understand that shift hours may vary week to week with last minute needs for builds, events, etc. especially during holiday periods and weekends
  • Always follow established company and department policies while in uniform, and act as a mature representative of the company/department while skiing/riding on days off
  • Educate guests and other mountain staff on terrain park etiquette and safety
  • Offer feature ideas/designs for park builds, and give feedback on how the parks are performing and how different features are perceived by guests
  • Assist with feature fabrication/repair as needed
  • Keep terrain parks free of trash and other debris throughout the day
  • Report possible codes to Dispatch over the radio; stand by if on scene until support arrives
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic education (high school diploma or equivalent)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects of 50lbs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ski and/or snowboard at an advanced level in all possible conditions
  • Ability to ski and/or snowboard while carrying tools and equipment
  • Ability to work outside on mountainous terrain in all weather conditions
  • Advanced ability on terrain park features is preferred
