Job description

This position is Remote!

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to help build and evolve web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for an engineer with deep expertise in JavaScript and React who enjoys solving complex product challenges and understands the underlying mechanics of modern front-end development rather than simply relying on frameworks and libraries.

You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver highly performant, scalable, and intuitive user experiences while contributing across the full technology stack when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web and mobile user interfaces using React and related front-end technologies.

• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable component architectures that support rapid product development.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features and enhancements across multiple applications.

• Develop responsive and performant user experiences that function seamlessly across browsers and devices.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical design discussions, and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end issues involving performance, scalability, state management, and user experience.

• Work with GraphQL and API integrations to connect front-end applications with backend services.

• Contribute to Storybook-based component development and UI documentation.

• Partner with backend engineers while also having the ability to make changes within the Go (Golang) codebase when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development.

• Deep expertise in JavaScript, including a strong understanding of:
o Asynchronous programming
o Promises and async/await
o Event loop architecture
o Closures and scope
o Browser rendering and performance optimization

• Strong experience developing applications with React.

• Experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs.

• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices.

• Experience building scalable component-based architectures.

• Ability to debug and optimize complex front-end applications.

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, and maintainable code practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Golang (Go).

• Experience with Apollo GraphQL.

• Experience with Storybook or similar component management tools.

• Experience building mobile applications or responsive mobile-first user experiences.

• Experience with Canvas-based visualizations and interactive UI development.

• Experience working within Agile product development environments.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000
