Job Title: Senior Learning Media Developer (Story-Driven eLearning)
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and self-directed Learning Media Developer to design and build story-driven digital learning experiences. This role is for a designer who understands that effective training isn't just about dumping information-it's about crafting a narrative that sticks. You will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into engaging, interactive eLearning modules that directly improve employee performance and behavior.
This is a developer-centric design role. You will own your projects from the initial outline through to the final export. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual storytelling and the technical chops to bring those stories to life using advanced animation and authoring tools.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Storytelling
• Multimedia Production: Design and produce high-impact learning assets using Vyond (animation) and Articulate Storyline (interactive modules).
• Narrative Design: Translate high-level content outlines into structured, engaging stories. Write professional voiceover scripts and build scenarios that guide learners through real-world job applications.
• Complex Simplification: Break down dense, process-heavy information into concise, learner-friendly explanations that prioritize clarity and usability.
• Evidence-Based Design: Apply Mayer's Principles of Multimedia Learning to every asset, ensuring visuals and audio are perfectly aligned to reduce cognitive load and reinforce retention.
Project Ownership
• End-to-End Execution: Manage the entire development lifecycle, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, asset creation, and technical implementation.
• SME Collaboration: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract key information and ensure content accuracy, while independently shaping the delivery strategy to maximize engagement.
• Iterative Development: Proactively manage project timelines, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and ensure final deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: BA/BS degree required.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or multimedia content development.
• Tool Mastery (Strict):
oDemonstrated proficiency in Vyond for creating professional animated learning videos.
oProven experience developing interactive eLearning modules in Articulate Storyline.
• Technical Writing: Exceptional ability to write clear, engaging scripts for voiceover and branching scenarios.
• Learning Science: Solid understanding of instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, Action Mapping) and learning science principles.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience designing training in highly regulated or complex operational environments (e.g., technical, quality-focused, or procedural sectors).
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality, story-driven learning assets and interactive modules.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple project deliverables.
