The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus, invites applications for the position of Associate or Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Mathematics. This is a full-time, 12-month position, with a preferred start date of July 2026.


The Department of Mathematics is currently home to 17 full time faculty members, and offers two BS degrees in Data Science and Simulation Science, Gaming and Animation. The department also delivers a large number of courses in service of other majors, particularly Engineering and Aviation Science.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • PhD in mathematics or closely related field, experience commensurate with appointment at the level of associate or full professor.

  • Applicants in all fields of mathematics are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise that complement the Data Science and/or Simulation Science programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong record of teaching at a STEM university

  • Prior administrative experience
