Job description

Senior Industrial Designer

A Senior Industrial Designer at M3 is someone who helps identify, visualize, and create successful products and experiences for our clients and their customers. You will plan and facilitate research and workshops and generate concepts through 2D digital sketching, 3D CAD modeling, and computer renderings and animations. You have a natural ability to lead by example and have excellent interpersonal skills.


What You'll Do

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead and support projects to create products informed by research and our stakeholder centered design process. You will work closely with M3's Design and Engineering teams to develop products across the Lifestyle, Healthcare and Workplace industries. As a senior member of the team, you will often act as Lead on projects helping guide our clients to successful product development conclusions. You\'ll be expected to excel when interfacing with our clients and be responsible for frequently presenting your team\'s work. Above all, you\'re excited to create products of the future for our world-class clients.


Skills you will need

You are highly skilled in form development, 2D digital sketching and visualization (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator), 3D CAD modeling (Rhino, Solidworks or Creo), and computer rendering and/or animation (e.g. Keyshot). You have a high proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office suites. You have a background on applying human factors principles to the design of products and user interfaces. You have developed and executed research plans to help inform the products and experiences you\'ve designed. You have excellent writing and presentation skills.


Experience / Education required:

You have at least a bachelor\'s degree in Industrial/Product Design from an accredited Industrial Design program. You have at least 5 years of experience in product and experience design or consulting role at a firm in the Lifestyle, Healthcare and Workplace spaces. Around 10% travel may be required.

  2. Successful history of creating impactful product strategies and designs that elevate client brands
  3. Strong knowledge of design process and project management
  4. Strong portfolio demonstrating Industrial Design skills
