Job Description

Position Overview

The Finance Manager for East Coast TV Production is a key member of the Rockefeller Centers Operations finance team, responsible for supporting live production across a ~$100MM+ operating cost portfolio.

This role combines operational finance responsibilities with a focus on improving visibility into key cost drivers and business performance. The Finance Manager will support enhancements to reporting frameworks, help improve data quality, and contribute to automation efforts across systems. The role partners closely with Production Operations, FP&A, IT, and Data teams to deliver actionable insights that inform day-to-day decisions.

The position offers broad exposure to NBCUniversal production environments including TODAY, Nightly News, NBC News Now, The Tonight Show, Late Night and Saturday Night Live while enabling data-driven decision-making in a complex, high-volume operational setting.

Here you can:

โ€ข Lead development and enhancement of financial reporting frameworks, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and transparency across operations

โ€ข Support allocation methodologies and data flows between systems to ensure alignment between operational data and financial reporting

โ€ข Design and maintain financial models supporting forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and operational analysis

โ€ข Partner with Finance, IT, and Data teams to establish data structures, reporting architecture, and system integrations (e.g., SAP, Essbase, STORM)

โ€ข Drive automation initiatives to streamline reporting, reduce manual processes, and improve speed and accuracy of financial outputs

โ€ข Analyze financial results, labor trends, and key operational metrics; translate findings into actionable insights for leadership

โ€ข Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations, including monthly operating reviews and performance summaries

โ€ข Lead financial systems enhancements and reporting tool development, including defining requirements and supporting implementation

Qualifications

Here you'll need:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science or related field

โ€ข 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or operational finance

โ€ข Expertise designing and implementing financial systems and data tools (SAP, Essbase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

โ€ข Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities

โ€ข Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint

โ€ข Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP

Desired Characteristics

โ€ข Ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate into clear insights

โ€ข Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

โ€ข Proven communication skills with the ability to partner across Finance, Operations, IT, and Data teams

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.ย
