Who We are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic, agile Instructional Designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves to get their hands dirty. We are building our Training & Development program from the ground up, and we need a high-energy professional who will hit the ground running. This is not a learning role; we need a swift mover who can pivot on a dime and build impactful learning solutions immediately.
The ideal candidate possesses deep roots in the hospitality, casino, or food and beverage (F&B) industries. You aren't someone who just sits behind a desk, you are flexible in your skills, eager to learn and grow with the team, and love to get out on the casino floor with our frontline team to facilitate training. An expert ability to extract operational knowledge from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and translate it into world-class training programs is a must.
What is expected of You:
  • Program Creation: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive blended learning solutions from scratch, including eLearning modules, instructor-led curricula, microlearning, and on-the-job training aids.
  • SME Collaboration: Partner as an expert consultant with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Casino Operations, Food & Beverage, and Hospitality to extract operational knowledge and build structured training content.
  • Frontline Engagement: Spend time on the casino floor and operational areas with frontline staff to deeply understand training needs, evaluate course effectiveness, and foster team growth.
  • Facilitation & Delivery: Deliver and facilitate engaging live, virtual, and classroom training sessions as needed to support property-wide development goals.
  • Agility & Innovation: Rapidly prototype, update, and pivot training materials to align with the dynamic, 24/7 demands of a premier gaming and entertainment environment.
  • Compliance & Tracking: Maintain accurate version control, updates, and compliance alignment for all instructional assets.

Experience You will need:
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in Instructional Design. A portfolio demonstrating original eLearning and curriculum development is required.
  • Previous professional experience within a Casino, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage (F&B) environment is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard eLearning authoring software, specifically Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) or Adobe Captivate.
  • Proficiency with multimedia development tools, including video editing/animation software (Camtasia, Vyond) and graphic design platforms (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Exceptional communication, interviewing, and relationship-management skills when working alongside operational managers and technical SMEs.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to assist with diverse facets of the Training & Development department, including public speaking and frontline operational support.

Physical Requirements:
  • Constantly sit, use hands and wrists for computer and office equipment, hear, and perform eye/hand coordination tasks.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) license.

Benefits/Perks:
  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 401K: Matches 50% of your contribution, up to 4% of eligible contribution
  • Educational Tuition Reimbursement
  • Paid Time Off
  • Ventra Program, EAP programs, etc.

Salary Range:
  • $72,500-$116,250
