We are currently seeking a Director of Construction Technology (VDC/BIM)for our data center group in Chicago, IL. This position will require some travel to Mount Pleasant, WI but be based out of our corporate office in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications:

  • Leads the direction of construction technology services within a Business Group or Division.
  • Sets goals and strategy for Construction Technology services within a Business Group or Division.
  • Promotes and supports the alignment of technology with operational goals.
  • Supports, advises and strategizes with Construction Technology Staff on performance, opportunities to provide increased value, and how to remove boundaries to valuable technology adoption.
  • Coordinates with Business Group leadership to align business opportunities with project requirements.
  • Monitors construction technology across the industry, evaluates the proper time to implement, acquire, or develop tools and/or processes when valuable to support the needs of the company. Creates implementation strategies at the appropriate scale.
  • Works with IT to manage the purchase and renewal of software and hardware.
  • Authors components of technical proposals and presentations for Business Groups and the Building Division.
  • Monitors growth and progress of construction technology across the Building Division and industry at large to serve as a resource for the company to advise, assess, and review project service capabilities, requirements, and opportunities.
  • Supplements and develops construction technology services for Business Groups that do not have experience with specific tools and/or processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related professionalexperience
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience.
  • Proficient with some of the following: Three-dimensional modeling, drafting, visual scheduling, graphic design, animation, audio/videoproduction, audio/video editing, LiDAR and SLAM capture, photogrammetry capture and processing,UAS/Drone operations, programming/scripting languages, application development, datastructure/analysis, and collaboration tools.
  • Collaboration management; critical thinking abilities; oral, written, and graphic communication skills;and knowledge of construction contract documents are required.
  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000/Yr based on experience
