Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Animal Care Specialists to join a local animal shelter team. In this role, you will help provide daily care, feeding, cleaning, and enrichment activities for animals while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with animals and making a positive impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feed and provide fresh water to shelter animals according to established schedules
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, animal housing areas, and equipment
  • Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report concerns
  • Assist with animal handling, exercise, socialization, and enrichment activities
  • Maintain accurate records related to feeding, medications, and daily observations
  • Support adoption events and assist potential adopters when needed
  • Launder bedding, towels, and other shelter materials
