Job description

Radiance is seeking Research Scientist who will continue advancement of Machine Learning (ML) based Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) techniques and algorithms utilizing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. The candidate will support RF sensor data analysis functions through the development and improvement of techniques and procedures for the ATR of targets within data collected from sensors and modeling and simulation capabilities that support physics-based signature estimation. Job Duties: * Design and develop signal processing and ML techniques to solve complex SAR ATR sensing challenges.
* Perform R&D on remotely sensed data to include ATR and development of Near Real Time (NRT) algorithms.
* Collaborate with teams to develop and deploy capabilities to prototype NRT systems.
* Provide input to analysis reports and briefings on algorithm enhancement and tool development. Required Skills: * Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages Python, Matlab, C/C++.
* Experience and understanding of RF signature, ATR, and ML phenomenologies specific to remote sensing applications.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Strong oral and written communication skills. Required Qualifications: * Active Secret Clearance
* BS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline. Desired Qualifications: * Active Top Secret Clearance
* MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
* Thorough understanding of working in an R&D and data analysis environment.
* Understanding of SAR image formation.
