What Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians Do Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures Provide compassionate, credentialed nursing care from patient intake through discharge Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for reference laboratories Prepare patients and equipment for surgical and dental procedures Induce and monitor anesthesia while maintaining complete and accurate records Provide attentive nursing care throughout patient recovery Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Keep treatment, surgical, and exam areas clean, organized, and well stocked Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and client service

What You'll Bring Current LVT, CVT, or RVT credential in good standing—required Eligibility to practice as a credentialed Veterinary Technician in Hawaii Previous hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills Confidence with patient handling, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures Experience with anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and nursing care Strong client-education and communication abilities Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining professional credentials and continuing education Genuine passion for veterinary medicine and exceptional patient care
