Job description

Kelly Science and Clinical has a new opportunity for an Animal Health Lab Technician in Lafayette, IN!
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Length of Assignment: Open Ended
Rate: $20/hr. or $41,600 annual equivalent + benefits
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analytical testing on incoming raw materials utilizing a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC, TOC, and microbial analysis.
  • Accurately weigh and receive samples, ensuring proper documentation and tracking within the LIMS system.
  • Adhere to strict waste disposal protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Efficiently manage inventory and place material orders as needed.
  • Perform routine instrument calibration and assist with inventory control.
Animal Health Duties:
  • Perform HPLC and lipid assays, prepare mobile phases, and conduct wet chemistry tests (tyramine, solids, UV-Vis, pH).
  • Maintain laboratory instruments and supplies, including periodic evaluation of columns, and serve as the contact for mobile phase suppliers.
  • Support Autoturb and IPC groups with in-process testing and SmartLab methods.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred; minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience considered.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in following detailed written procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
