Position Summary

Huna Totem Corporation is seeking an IT Specialist with a developer emphasis to join our growing IT team. This role will serve as a hands-on technical resource with a primary focus on front-end development, internal applications, systems integration, and technology solutions that support business operations.

Because our IT team is small, agile, and highly collaborative, the ideal candidate will bring strong technical curiosity and a willingness to work across multiple areas of technology. While development will be a core part of the role, this position may also support networking, systems administration, project coordination, internal user support, security, automation, and other IT initiatives.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and contributing to the growth of an organization with a meaningful mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Specialist will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications and software solutions that support business objectives.
  • Work with full-stack technologies to improve systems, automate processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize databases to support data integrity, reporting, and application integration.
  • Provide technical support across IT areas, including workstations, servers, networks, software, and business systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and learn new technologies to solve business and technical challenges.
  • Develop automation and systems integration solutions to streamline IT operations.
  • Support IT security, compliance, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and IT environment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization.
  • Support IT projects across multiple locations, including travel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the effectiveness and continued growth of the IT department.

Required Qualifications

  • An Associates Degree in Information Technologies or at least two years of experience in IT, software development, IT project management, or a related technical field.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust to shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support IT projects across company locations.
