Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Lead to own the design, development, and delivery of a modern, responsive infrastructure console featuring persona-based user experiences. This senior role involves defining front-end architecture, establishing standards for component design, performance, accessibility, and telemetry. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with UX, product, backend/BFF, and platform engineering teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality, scalable UI experience across multiple personas and workflows.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Chandler, AZ is$100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and development of a scalable, reusable component library and design system, including theming, tokens, and shared components.
  • Design and implement persona-based UX patterns such as role-based navigation, progressive disclosure, and workflow-driven UI.
  • Build and optimize responsive web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript best practices.
  • Establish standards for UI performance optimization, accessibility compliance (WCAG), and best practices for operability.
  • Drive front-end testing strategy, including unit/component tests, functional end-to-end tests, and CI/CD quality gates.
  • Instrument UI telemetry to gather user journey insights, error monitoring, and client-side performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with backend/BFF teams on API contracts and UI workflow enhancements.
  • Guide, mentor, and review engineering teams to uphold front-end standards and improve team practices.
  • Ensure secure UX patterns for privileged operations, including confirmations, approvals, and audit-friendly flows.

Requirements:

  • Experience in front-end development.
  • Experience in building responsive web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Expertise with at least one enterprise-grade UI framework (React strongly preferred; Angular/Vue acceptable).
  • Proven experience designing, scaling, and maintaining a component library or design system.
  • Strong understanding of persona-based UX patterns, role-based navigation, and workflow-driven UI.
  • Solid experience with front-end performance optimization techniques and Core Web Vital concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end testing frameworks, automating quality gates, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Git, code review processes, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience instrumenting UI telemetry for analytics, error monitoring, and performance insights.
  • Familiarity with BFF patterns, API contract collaboration, and optimizing UI workflows.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and enterprise usability best practices.
  • Experience with micro-frontend or modular UI architectures is a plus.
  • Ability to guide and mentor engineering teams and communicate technical standards effectively.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with advanced telemetry instrumentation for journey analytics and client-side tracing.
  • Familiarity with secure UX design patterns for privileged operations.
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale environments with strict usability and security requirements.
