Job description

Classification: Temporary, Non-Exempt, 29-40 hours per week, Hours vary between 8:30 am-5:00 pm.  October 1 – December 24, 2026.

 

Salary:  $23.00 per hour

 

Job Focus: 

This position supports The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Campaign by helping to coordinate volunteers, community partnerships, donor engagement activities, and seasonal activities throughout Central Ohio. This temporary position plays a key role in supporting Angel Tree, Red Kettle Campaign, Christmas Cheer, Adopt-A-Family, toy distribution and other holiday initiatives.  Responsibilities include volunteer coordination, community outreach, donor engagement, toy drive management, event support, and partnership development.  This role offers valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit management, community relations, event coordination, fundraising support, volunteer leadership, and donor stewardship.


  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or volunteer coordination experience, preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with diverse groups of volunteers and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced seasonal environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during the Christmas season.
  • Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
