Job description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment starting in April 2025. This opportunity offers a collaborative and supportive environment, focusing on both supervision and direct patient care. Below are the details of the assignment:

Assignment Overview:
  • Location: Near Piney Point, Maryland
  • Start Date: April 7, 2025
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • Number of Providers Needed: 2
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general and regional anesthesia for a variety of procedures.
  • Supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and handle your own cases as needed.
  • Provide care for a wide range of surgical cases including:
    • Complex orthopedic, vascular, and neurosurgical procedures
    • Obstetrical and thoracic cases
    • Epidural and spinal anesthesia
  • Manage post-operative pain through techniques such as extremity blocks and epidural steroids.
Facility Highlights:
  • Trauma Level: Level III
  • Operating Rooms: 14
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Support Staff: Collaborative team including CRNAs and other professionals.
Requirements:
  • Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Anesthesiology.
  • Licensure: Active Maryland license or eligibility for IMLC.
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and ABLS required.
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days.
