Job description


Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join the team in Hilo, Hawaii. This opportunity offers the chance to practice high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative and supportive environment on the beautiful Big Island. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, GI endoscopy, and other specialties.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
  • Pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up, including pain management.
  • Supervise and/or collaborate with CRNAs and other members of the anesthesia care team.
  • Participate in perioperative planning and safety initiatives.
  • Respond to emergency airway management and codes when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Hawaii
  • Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (PALS preferred)
