Responsibilities: - Be responsible for developing and maintaining the e-commerce module within the TikTok app, focusing on features such as product browsing, search functionality, and order placement to enhance the shopping experience. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver new features aimed at enhancing user experience on the TikTok Shop. - Architect scalable and maintainable solutions, leveraging best practices and design patterns to ensure code quality, reusability, and extensibility. - Conduct performance analysis and profiling of the TikTok Shop to identify areas for optimization and improvement. - Work closely with backend engineers to optimize network requests and data fetching mechanisms, minimizing latency and improving overall app performance. - Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in mobile app development for Android platforms, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. - Expertise in Kotlin/Java, and deep understanding of mobile development frameworks and tools. - Experience with performance optimization techniques, including memory management, network optimization, and battery efficiency. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and across different teams. [For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $202160 - $368200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
